Mercury retrograde has totally been kicking our asses. I thought we got a head start on it with the car catching fire, but Mercury retrograde likes to make itself known in small, annoying ways. Yesterday our router for our computer broke, so we didn't have an internet connection. And since we have Vonage, that means our landline was down too. And I had left my cell phone uncharged, so for most of the day I didn't have any means of communication whatsoever. Damn you, Mercury!

Shawn was off today, and we ran around doing errands, like buying a new router, picking up our sexy new red steel trash can, getting the car an oil change, etc. So things are working, and we could check our messages. My mom had been calling and getting all freaked out because I wasn't returning her calls. Also, someone called about a job interview. Eeee! I'm not going into details, but let's just say that this would be a Good Thing.

So Friday evening has been spent making up for lost internet time, and for Shawn to play video games, since he had to spend entirely too long talking to customer service reps.
