I feel like this is the safest place to squee where I won't offend anyone. Yay for lj!

Of course I'm happy about Obama being re-elected, but I was expecting that. Romney was always the Republicans version of John Kerry, and this is pretty much 2004 for them. But there are so many extras that I wasn't expecting! Gay marriage passing in four states! All of the rape-apologist Republicans were defeated across the board! More woman were elected to the House and Senate than ever before! Demographics have officially changed forever! Marijuana has been legalized in two states! Social values have defeated the interests of millionaires! I feel like I woke up to a shiny new America, and I like it!
