a good weekend
Oct. 22nd, 2007 11:39 amThis weekend was full and good. On Saturday Shawn and I went with our friends Lisa and Ben to a Maplewood Halloween party. It was full of booze and dancing and awesome costumes, just as much as you expect from a Maplewood party. My costume came out just right and I can't wait to put it on again. Will post pictures when I get a chance.
Then yesterday I went to my very first roller derby game. I've never been able to go because they're usually on Saturday and I work Saturdays till 7. The last two games are on Sundays, which is free and clear for me. I'm the type of person who is disinterested in every type of sport, but derby is a sport with girls in miniskirts and fishnets with a punk rock soundtrack, so what's not to like? Also, instead of two teams trying to put a ball in a certain place (always sure to make me yawn), you have two teams trying to put a girl on skates in a certain place. I have my second interview on Friday. Eeee! I hope they tell me right away if I have the job or not because I'll need to start telling my clients if I'm going somewhere else. I already told a couple on Saturday, just "I'm in the process of interviewing right now, and it might not happen, but if you call and I'm not here anymore, I'll be at this place."
