*yawn* Lazy day off. I like having days off during the week because the pace seems much slower than on the weekends. Even on a Sunday, there's so many people running around, doing things, so you have to get going early. On the weekdays, you can be as slothful as you want and still get a lot accomplished. No traffic. No long lines at Target. No shopping cart madness at Trader Joe.
Today on my list, is cleaning my bathroom, going to Ruff Haus Pets to buy a new wavy toy for the kitties, and possibly some more running around. Some writing would be a happy thing too. Shawn and I have decided to buy a laptop for the both of us to share. He's going to be in Colorado for a couple weeks with his dad and needs something to do while his dad recovers from her surgery (yep, it's that surgery). I just want to use it for writing and nothing else. This computer that I'm using right now rarely gets used for anything but the internet. I use it for procrastination. Like right now I'm posting on lj instead of cleaning my bathroom. I could be wrong, but I just feel like I'll accomplish more writing-wise if I have something a little more portable. In the winter when I'm stir-crazy I can take it with me to the Grind and type away while sipping a mocha.
Hmm...is there anything interesting I can write about? In no particular order:
1. A fuse blew in my apt. I went to the basement and flipped switches but nothing happened. Or maybe something happened but no one else is here to yell, "Okay, it's back on!" So I have no overhead lighting, but that's okay.
2. I'm currently obsessed with tomato sandwiches. Either with mozzerella or just mayo, salt and pepper. Mmm...so good.
3. Party coming up on the 26th! The evites went out yesterday. If I don't have your email and you'd like to come, send me a message. If you're on my friends list and live near Chicago, you should come. Our parties are always always fun, and there are always good people there. Except for last year when we accidently scheduled it at the same time as GermanFest so no one could park and my dumb ex-boyfriend showed and was horribly rude to everyone. D'oh! But those mistakes won't be repeated.
4. Possibly dancing tonight. Don't know where (but most likely Neo). Don't know for sure. But it's exciting. I haven't been dancing in awhile.
Okay, time to eat and clean and do stuff.
